CrossFit and Skateboarding
I started CrossFit May of 2013 and have regularly gone twice a week sometimes 3 times. I am the elder and usually the slowest to finish. I love Crossfit. I don't know how to explain it. I have lifted weights and worked out over the years to improve my strength but never as regularly. I feel healthier and stronger. I don't tire out running cones or skating for hours like I use to at races. By the end of the day into the finals my legs would be like jello. Now I can power out way past the finish and not worry about foot breaking and having my legs tire out. Thanks to Chris Morse who has been patient with me from the beginning. And of course Jason (a.k.a. “J-Dog”) Highbarger. If you live in Almaden go to him he is great.
CrossFit and Skateboarding if you want to improve your skating you need strong legs and a strong core. Coming soon a CrossFit in Aptos. I can't wait. I will miss Chris and the West crew but I won't miss the drive.
