Rooster Comb Ranch Weekend

Paradise in our own backyard. Well not exactly backyard but close enough to get to from Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz Fly Fishing Club getaway weekend at Rooster Comb Ranch. Everything you need. Off the grid solar run 1928 ranch house that sleeps 13 and a bunkhouse that has another batch of beds. Walking distance to creeks and ponds full of life. Horse country, wild flowers, pig, deer, elk and a super nice host Scott who makes sure you are having fun. It takes around an hour and a half off the main road and about 40 water crossing if you are going slow and checking out the scenery like we were going in, must have a four wheel drive vehicle.
We went to two ponds a day, my favorite was Mustang and Thule (dock and lounge on dock, paddle boat). Mustang had a hammock under the trees, picnic table in the shade, lounge chair, BBQ all right on the shore. Each spot has it's own unique beauty and is worth a look or a cast.

Cypress Garden Nursery landscape history page in progress

Working on the Cypress Garden Nursery history page for my cousins nursery. It has a rich history that my Auntie Mollie and Uncle Yukio started 52 years ago. My uncle still propagates plants that the nursery sells and Ray uses in his landscape projects. Family owned and operated, it is one of the last locally owned nursery's in the Monterey Bay in Monterey. Updated the original flower logo design my Aunt had for the nursery and put signage on the landscape trucks which hadn't had signage for 10 years.
