For the record it was one person that worked at NHS that said they would never consider me pro because I was female. It wasn't the company and Richard Novak has sponsored me since I was 16 and I still get gear 50 years later.

In 2001 I skated my first slalom race paid over 100.00 for the entry fee and won the women's on the first day and they announced the men's division and never announced the women's. I got a VHS video as a price from the pile I got to pick from after the men grabbed what they wanted first. Things have changed and we do get equal prize money. This podcasts explains the herstory. The 80's were amazing as well and then it kept on rising though the parks closed and ramps started.
