Lake Cunningham Session with BK and friends

Fun sessions with the NorCal crew getting together for a last session before the park closes for two weeks to put in lights. Night skating in the summer is the best. Bryce Kanights and Donna were in the Bay area so he called a sessions and a ton of folks came out. Gary Holl, Cab, Blackhart, Fly, Joe Fong, Mikko, Patty, Fedge, too many to name and many I didn't know. The park was the most crowed I'd ever seen. It was great to see all the young kids out skating. My first session after a good smack down on the concrete doing a tail drop. Tail dropped again but not in the one bowl that got me last time. Couldn't do it yet.

Lake Cunningham session this morning

It's been decades since I've skated a park in San Jose. It was a fun session with friends. Some I skated with over 30 years ago. Time flies.

Sgt. Holl no slacking just skating!

Slalom racing with friends on a beautiful Saturday in NorCal. Last weekend was cold gray and with huge tail winds. Today was so much nicer and fun to have a few newbies.

Skateboard Passion "Thank You!"

A big Thank you to the companies that support my skateboard passion.

Khiro Skateboard Products
Skate Designs Inc.
Abec 11 Wheels
Independent Truck Company
Pleasure Tool Bearings
Sockguy
Oakley Eyewear
Element Shoes
DC Shoes
Giro Helmets
Powerbar

I was sponsored by Van's, Offshore Clothing, Rector, Independent Trucks, Santa Cruz Skateboards, NHS back in the day. I just realized that I have not paid for any skate shoes since the late 1970's along many other skate items.

Word to the wise. Never burn a bridge because one day you may have to return over that same bridge.

Parents are great savers

My mom gave me a envelope with some old elementary school stuff and a skate image taken at a photo session with John Krisik for Santa Cruz Skateboards. Winchester's wash board was a great place to warm up. Broke my ankle and dislocated my foot doing a front side aerial there, waited to long to bail and by then it was too late. Other found items Skateboardmania flyer, Road Rider small poster and a host of other fun items.

Jumping Rivers at a Jr. High School show I helped put on with the Rhino's at the Santa Cruz Fairgrounds.

My cousin Ray took this image in Gonzales back in the 70's. Rode horses and skated. We use to tie the skateboards on the back of our saddles and ride up to fresh pavement in the Aptos hills and then go for a ride.
