"Cabrillo Connector" trail opens

My brother and I 1963 photo my dad Richard Oyama.

After fifteen years of negotiations, a number of of setbacks,  the cumulative effort by Nisene 2 Sea, California Conservation Corps, agencies within Santa Cruz County Government, and two Supervisors,  the "Cabrillo Connector" trail is  now open for public enjoyment and use... bicycles and and leashed dogs included. The Cabrillo Connector is County owned trail through private property that allows the public to travel between Cabrillo College and The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park. Please stay on trail and use and enjoy responsibly. There are signs at Kamian Way and at Mesa Grande Rd. No driving or parking on Mesa Grande and step aside for cars, obviously. PLEASE JOIN US ALL FOR A CELEBRATORY WALK ON SATURDAY AT 1:00 AT THE DANUBE DRIVE AND KAMIAN WAY ENTRANCE,RAIN OR SHINE.
