Vintage Capitola Classic video 1982. Interesting find this morning. I'm standing next to Novak. The year I didn't get invited but I guess they let me help register people and hang out.

Mr. Toots Coffeehouse in Capitola

Now up Mr. Toot's Coffeehouse on Facebook. Shop local and support all the businesses in Capitola and Santa Cruz for that matter. The independent retailers and businesses that are doing it for themselves.

Mr. Toots Coffeehouse is a quaint coffeehouse nestled above the charming village of Capitola overlooking the ocean and pier just south of Santa Cruz California. The warm and friendly atmosphere is very conducive to relaxing with friends, reading your favorite book, viewing the local art on display or listening to the sounds of live local musicians while enjoying your favorite coffee or tea drink.

Focused on serving the highest quality coffee and espresso, Mr. Toots serves only fresh organic, shade grown, Fair Trade coffee made from beans locally roasted. The French roasted coffee beans are a custom blended of Indonesian and Sumatran beans and delivered fresh weekly.

Mr. Toots Coffeehouse is the second oldest coffeehouse in all of Santa Cruz County having been in business over 26 years in the same location. Located upstairs above Margaritaville, Mr. Toots has the old world charm it has been known for over the past two decades.

Come in and enjoy the locally made pastries, cookies, unique coffee drinks, blended drinks, sandwiches, or a slice of fresh baked quiche, all while overlooking the beach!

Capitola and artist James Jean

So great to see illustrator James Jean get a huge mention from Lance today on twitter for his Livestrong chalk art drawing. Very cool. I had the chance to work with James a few years ago. Of course the first year Lance was not riding. Got some amazing images for the Giro bike catalog. The bottom image is from a shoot on the beach in Capitola on the wall the other is taken in between the buildings at Venetain Hotel. Photos by BK.

Thank you to Mark Whiteley of Slap for putting a little shout out to the Capitola Classic survey.
