Socksmith Designs new Fall Catalog sneak peak

During the hectic week of getting the surfboard done I was wrapping up the Socksmith catalog with this final cover shot and inside images. I wanted to shoot around the Santa Cruz Boardwalk and tie in using images of the James Durbin week documentation of making the surfboard but since I had a skateboarder as part of the shoot that didn't last too long as security came. We knew we had to do a quick shoot so we got a few shots and then let the skater guy go. We shot on the beach with the remaining ladies. This is the cover shot by photographer Patrick Trefz who does amazing surf photography and portraits. At the exact same time I was having a shoot for Board Rescue with photographer Robert Houser who was shooting the kids at Ceasar Chavez School in San Francisco. The Socksmith is a locally owned and operated company in Santa Cruz who sells to many sock shops in Santa Cruz. Check out the Sock Shop and Shoe Company, Santa Cruz Legs and oldschool shoes if you are in San Francisco you can find their socks at Sockshop Haight Street.
