I cannot wait to share this because decades on a skateboard have taught me one
absolute truth: if you want to make moves, you have to make them yourself.
Having grown the slalom scene and secured sponsorships for the USA team, I am
now applying that same relentless marketing focus to elite talent.
I don't plan on skating forever though I went over my intended goal by 4 years. I am going to
the
World Skate Games 2026 in Paraguay to race and coach. I am officially
channeling all my energy into elevating the younger racers in skateboarding: the young,
exceptionally talented that are willing to listen to my knowledge to keep moving forward.
Leiola Kahaku
from
Campbell, California, the incredible
Maggie Harrison
from
Texas, and myself. Leia is going to be a force for the USA as well other many others. I just don't have the bandwidth to help the team like I did before since my focus is on the upcoming
Japanese American National Museum Retrospective Art, Skate and Design show October 31st and the skate documentary Leiola and I have been part of for the past two seasons.
FYI we are going to have a
slalom race or jam October 31st in Japan Town in San Jose. More information will be getting posted.
@worldskategames Paraguay 🇵🇾 October 13-15 2026 Slalom Skateboarding Days 12th is a practice day.
