Get your thrash on at the Skate Jam this weekend in Golden Gate Park. Hosted by Purple Skunk Skate Shop, Sk8kings.com and Plank Skateboards, this event is for skateboarders of all genres: freestyle, longboard, slalom and new school. All are welcome to skate and hang out. Special guests include the Sk8kings.com freestyle team. Refreshments and snacks provided. Skate product giveaways. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sun. Free. Golden Gate Park, JFK Drive at Transverse Drive, near the waterfall.
