Parents of skateboarders please have you kids wear helmets

So I'm called the helmet police by neighbors and my kids grow tired of it. I am tired of reading about skaters getting hurt or killed skateboarding by hitting their heads. They don't have look cool, they will get more confidence wearing them. I saw several pairs of two girls skateboarding in Aptos. I did the same thing when I was younger. It only takes one rock, one bad driver, one bad foot braking mistake to crash. Please wear a helmet. So sad to read about the Colorado Springs skater. I have raced in Colorado and love the area and friends from there. So sad. Hugs to the parents.
