Lost and Found surf movie with Santa Cruz photographer Bob Barbour images

Cool find Lost and Found movie by Doug Walker. Kind of reminded me of my current project digging through piles of old proofs and slides at NHS these days. Old skate shots, memories, events and forgotten names. I kept notes and had a few note books but some faces I am having troubles remembering. Picked out some of the key shots so we can go through another round and thin out. I'm sure that's what they had to do here with 30,000 slides. Hope to see this movie soon. Might have to just buy one. Trailer is awesome. I have two slides that are Dan Merkel originals of Snowboarding I am going to send back to Doug to get to him. I sent it 3 times and talked someone with address and info from Dan's site and the package came back 3x like 4 bucks each time. Oh joy. Just thought he'd like them back. This time I feel confident they will find their owner.

In 2007 3 file boxes containing roughly 30,000 negatives are discovered at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, Ca. In the 3 boxes is Surfing's History from 1972-1993. I traveled for 3+ years finding the people as well as the photographers who lived the era and captured beautiful stories if not TOLD would be LOST.
