Dead squid on Aptos Beach yesterday

Went down to check the sunset and shoot some footage for my Digital Media class and came across hundreds of dead Humbolt Squid. I've never seen so many dead squid let alone these big squid. Found all kinds of interesting things after doing horse patrol for Chuck at Ano Nuevo but never any of these. Kind of bitter sweet to see the beautiful sunset and the dead squid.

Guess it is news worthy in Santa Cruz the day after.
