Road Trip Wyoming

Gros Ventre River Ranch is a beautiful place. We were at the guest house on the deck the night of the 4.8 earthquake. We felt the deck shake saw the cabin shake and then saw rocks and boulders tumble off the mountain down toward the creek. The next morning we felt the 4.1 at 9:00 am. Didn't know that they had quakes in Wyoming.

Checked out the Heart Mountain Memorial near Cody and learned that my uncle was at the camp with his family. It was emotional to see the photos and read what they had to live in during the cold of winter and heat of summer. My parents were at Poston One and Two in Arizona when they were children. It was a good opportunity to share with my kids and to talk with my parents about it since they don't talk about it much. They went through allot back in their youth. They are not bitter. I want my kids to know and realize how fortunate they are.

If you go to Cody I recommend The Cody as a place to stay. Clean rooms, indoor pool, nice people. The King's Inn was one of the worst places we stayed for a night because the Cody was full. They were not friendly, the place was dirty, smelled like cigarettes only thing they did right was recycle. Best local food spot to eat was the Sunset House another place that was recommend was the Proud Cut Saloon they were friendly but booked.

Sunset House 651 8th Street, Cody, WY‎ - (307) 587-2257‎ Judy makes great drinks and the Homemade Bread Pudding. Yum. Super nice lady to boot.

Worked Monday with Croakies going over Color and Graphics for Spring 2011. Working with a host of talented artists in surf and skate. Croakies are made in Bozeman Montana and have been for over 30 years. Owned by a downhill skateboarder who has passion and heart. Great company.
