Everyday is a good day

Word for the day. Densho is a Japanese term meaning "to pass on to the next generation," or to leave a legacy.

I appreciate everyday knowing I didn't have to go through what my family went through when they grew up. I celebrate that I've lived past the age of three when I almost got picked up by some strangers in an old Chevy when I got separated from my parents at the Boardwalk one evening. I'll never forget the biker couple telling me that they would help me find my parents. With the rear car door open they told me to get in. I ran into the crowd knowing that was not going to get me home. To this day I'm a bit weary when my kids go on a field trip to the Boardwalk without me.
