Skate and Surf historian projects in the works

Shot from the MAH in progress work Dave Gardner.

I frequently work as a skate historian since skating has been a big part of my life. I am working on a skateboard downhill film documentary and skate history book. I gathered skaters Steve Caballero, Keith Meek, Rick Blackhart, Mike “Smiley” Goldman, Duane Peters, Don and Danielle Bostick and a host of others to be interviewed by Ben Marcus. I will be showing some surf graphic design pieces at the MAH, Surf Museum show set to open at the Museum of Art and History in Santa Cruz March 27, and run until July with artists Jim and Jimbo Phillips, Thomas Campbell and a host of talented folks.

585 view Flickr Spike yesterday

I was super surprised to see such a huge spike in my flickr stats yesterday. Not sure if it was the Loopd Skateboard Featured Members feature or the Texas Longboarder post or Vimeo post, thank you. The Skatedaily always adds some killer stats as they have given some great shouts to the Board Rescue organization a few times. Thanks BK you rule. Either way I'm stoked to see downhill skateboarding images my dad took getting some love.
