Vienna Woods + Park Wilshire Field Aptos

I know it's been hard for all of the neighbors to get use to loosing the field. Sad faces and lots of families walking around the streets. (Dog poop piles on the streets like never before gross) Cars coming up with their dogs and a big fence blocking the old path (u turn). Well it was bound to happen since the property was purchased 12 years ago. Yes we had the field for 47 years+ I'm going to miss riding up Haas and cutting across the field instead of dealing with the cars racing down Vienna. Try riding your bike up with your family while people are going 45 in both directions.
Give them a break. Stop thrashing their fences and causing more grief. The path is still in the works for those that are concerned. The more hassle the worse it will be for all. My motto is treat others like you would like to be treated.

Thank you for clearing the field back and trimming the Oaks. Having a fire break is a good thing.

Please drive slow through our neighborhood as we have pets and kids that are on the streets playing or blindly walking in our case with our old dog. Respect us and we will do the same.

A sub-division would suck which is rumored for the flat area of the field which of course is behind our house. Guess it's not a rumor. ;(

Got the memo about the Cavanah's Hill or Cardiac Hill

Good and bad news. The good news is the homeless camps and dangerous fire hazards will be cleaned up this spring in the Vienna neighborhood field behind Cabrillo College as their are 5 encampments and 4 men and two women living out there with open fire pits and trash everywhere piling up. Bad news is they will start construction on the Cavanah's (from the old owners) or Cardiac Hill (current name). So enjoy the view while you can. You can't blame anyone that purchased the property to want to build on top of that hill. It's been a great 50 plus years of open space. Things change. At least it's not a whole neighborhood going up.

Sea to Trail
info.

Bottom photo myself and my brother photo by my dad 1963. Why I care about the shit that's going on out there. I'm lucky to have played in the field growing up.

Aptos Field Fire Hazard September 24 th

This is where and what I found in our field behind our homes in Aptos yesterday. Took two sheriffs back there and gave print outs to the local fire station. I hope they move these folks. The owner of the property knows they are there but is not interested in moving them until he builds. If we have a fire we know who to call. This camp has three men and a woman living there, the one that yells at the kids and comes up against the fence line, not the lady who drives the blue car with the plywood on top. She lives up behind the water tower on park land in a make shift house. Aren't we lucky! There are over 3 live camping areas out there one is a tree fort the other similar to this one. I think we have a situation.
